Salman Khan, 47, has pleaded ‘not guilty’ in court on July 24th after being formally charged with culpable homicide in a decade-old hit-and-run case. The Bollywood superstar faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
On September 28, 2002, Khan’s Toyota Land Cruiser crashed into a bakery in Mumbai, killing one man and injuring others.
The trial is set for August 19th. I’ll keep you posted.
In film news…Khan’s upcoming film Kick, co-starring Jacqueline Fernandez with director Sajid Nadiadwala, commenced shooting in Glasgow, UK, on Saturday. The 2009 Telugu remake film is expected to release in theatres around Eid al-Fitr 2014.
